One hardly finds a Palestinian family that did not lose one or more of its members due to the continued Palestinian upstanding against silencing our voice and extermination since the beginning of the tragedy in 1948. The absent is either a martyr, a captive, or a fugitive, and the picture of those absent is usually hung on the walls of the houses.
